Guaranty Federal Bancshares, Inc., (NASDAQ:GFED), the holding company (the "Company") for Guaranty Bank, today announces that the Board of Directors has authorized a new share repurchase plan for up to 250,000 shares of the Company's outstanding common stock, which represents approximately 6% of the outstanding shares. The plan is authorized through December 31, 2022.
Guaranty Federal Bancshares is a bank holding company. Through its subsidiary, Guaranty Bank (the Bank), Co. is engaged in accepting retail deposits from the general public and investing those deposits, together with funds generated from operations, in commercial real estate loans, multi-family residential mortgage loans, construction loans, permanent one- to four-family residential mortgage loans, business, consumer and other loans. The Bank invests in mortgage-backed securities, U.S. Government and federal agency securities and other marketable securities. The Bank provides checking accounts, money markets, savings, fixed-term certificates of deposit and individual retirement accounts.
