(NYSE: NXRT) ("NXRT") announced today that its Board of Directors authorized an increase in its previously announced share repurchase program from $40.0 million to $100.0 million of its common stock. There is approximately $75.0 million available to repurchase shares of its common stock.
NexPoint Residential Trust is a real estate investment trust (REIT). Co. is focused on multifamily investments primarily located in the Southeastern and Southwestern U.S. Substantially all of Co.'s business is conducted through its operating partnership, NexPoint Residential Trust Operating Partnership, L.P. (the OP). Co. owns its properties (the Portfolio) through the OP and its wholly owned taxable REIT subsidiary (TRS). The OP and the TRS own the Portfolio. Co. is externally managed by NexPoint Real Estate Advisors, L.P. (the Adviser). The Adviser conducts substantially all of Co.'s operations and provides asset management services for its real estate investments.
