ORBCOMM Inc. (NASDAQ: ORBC), a global provider of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a stock repurchase program, under which ORBCOMM may repurchase up to $25 million of its outstanding common stock. The stock repurchase program has a duration of one year. Repurchases under the stock repurchase program will be funded from ORBCOMM's existing cash and cash equivalents.
ORBCOMM is a provider of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, including network connectivity, devices, device management and web reporting applications. Co.'s industrial IoT products and services are designed to track, monitor, control and enhance security for a variety of assets, such as trailers, trucks, rail cars, sea containers, power generators, fluid tanks, marine vessels, diesel or electric powered generators, oil and gas wells, pipeline monitoring equipment, irrigation control systems, and utility meters, in the transportation and supply chain, heavy equipment, fixed asset monitoring and maritime industries, as well as for governments.
