Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a share repurchase program of up to $100 million of the company's common stock. Since 2005, the company has purchased $1.2 billion of Tech Data stock, buying back approximately 44 percent of shares issued.
Tech Data is an IT distribution and solutions company. Co.'s customers include resellers, direct marketers, retailers, corporate resellers and managed service providers. Co. groups its offerings into the following primary solutions portfolios: Endpoint Solutions Portfolio, which includes PC systems, mobile phones and accessories, printers, peripherals, supplies, endpoint technology software and consumer electronics; and Advanced Solutions Portfolio, which includes data center technologies such as storage, networking, servers, other technology software and converged and hyper-converged infrastructure. Co.'s Advanced Solutions portfolio also includes its other solution businesses.
