Description: SYNCHRONY FINANCIAL ("Synchrony") announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 125,000,000 shares of common stock at a price of $23.00 per share. Synchrony has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to an aggregate of 18,750,000 additional shares of common stock. All of the shares will be sold by Synchrony and it will receive net proceeds of approximately $2.8 billion from the offering (or $3.2 billion if the underwriters exercise in full their option to purchase additional shares). Trading on The New York Stock Exchange is expected to begin on Thursday, July 31, 2014 under the symbol "SYF."
