Drew Industries Incorporated (NYSE: DW), a leading supplier of components for recreational vehicles (RVs) and manufactured homes, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lippert Components, Inc., has reached an agreement in principle to acquire certain assets and the business of Star Design, LLC., an Elkhart, Indiana-based manufacturer of thermoformed sheet plastic products for the RV, bus and specialty vehicle industries.
LCI Industries, through its subsidiary, Lippert Components, Inc., supplies components for the manufacturers of recreational vehicles (RVs) and manufactured homes and for the related aftermarkets of those industries. Co. has two segments: the recreational vehicle products segment, which manufactures or distributes products including: steel chassis for towable RVs, axles and suspension solutions for towable RVs, and slide-out mechanisms and solutions, among others; and the manufactured housing products segment, which manufactures or distributes products including: vinyl and aluminum windows, thermoformed bath and kitchen products, and steel and fiberglass entry doors, among others.
