Denali Media Holdings, a subsidiary of General Communication, Inc. announced today that it has agreed to the purchase of three Alaska broadcast stations: CBS affiliate KTVA-TV of Anchorage and NBC affiliates KATH-TV in Juneau and KSCT-TV of Sitka.
GCI Liberty is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is a communications provider with operations in Alaska. Co. provides a range of wireless, data, video, voice, and managed services to residential customers, businesses, governmental entities, and educational and medical institutions under its GCI brand. Co.'s two segments are: Wireless, which provides wholesale wireless services and products to wireless carriers; and Wireline, which provides services and products to two customer groups, consumer and business services. As of Dec 31 2016, Co. had 222,500 wireless subscribers, 140,800 cable modem subscribers and 125,800 basic video subscribers.
