Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX), the leading provider of converged networking solutions, and Endace Limited (LSE:EDA), a leading supplier of network visibility infrastructure products, announced today that the Emulex Takeover Offer for Endace has been approved by the New Zealand Overseas Investment Office, and assurances of continuity have been received for the research and development grants Endace receives from the New Zealand Ministry of Science and Innovation. The Closing Date for shareholders to submit their shares to the Offer is 1 p.m. London time on February 12, 2013 (the "Closing Date").
Emulex is engaged in network connectivity, monitoring and management products. Co. has two segments. Co.'s Connectivity segment consists of its Network Connectivity Products, which include Fibre Channel and Ethernet-based solutions that provide server I/O and target storage array connectivity to develop networks for enterprise and cloud data centers; and Storage Connectivity and Other Products, which include its InSpeed® switch-on-a-chip and back-end connectivity, bridge, router products, and Pilot™ Integrated Baseboard Management Controllers. Co.'s Visibility Segment consists of its Network Visibility Products, which includes the Endace® visibility and recording infrastructure products.
