Brampton Brick Limited (TSX:BBL.A) today announced that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Atlas Block, including its state-of-the-art facility located in Hillsdale, Ontario. The acquisition was made from KPMG Inc., the Court-appointed receiver of Atlas Block, pursuant to an approval and vesting order issued by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) on December 20, 2013.
Brampton Brick is engaged in the manufacture of clay brick. Co. operates in two dominant business segments: Masonry Products and Landscape Products. The Masonry Products segment manufactures clay brick and a range of concrete masonry products including stone veneer, window sills and concrete brick for use in residential construction and institutional, commercial and industrial building projects, marketed under the Stoneworks™. The Landscape Products segment manufactures concrete paving stones and retaining walls, garden walls, and sales of accessory products for use in residential construction and institutional, commercial and industrial building projects.
