Apollo Education Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:APOL) announced today its wholly-owned subsidiary Apollo Global, Inc. has agreed to acquire Open Colleges Australia Pty Ltd ("Open Colleges"), one of Australia's oldest and largest providers of distance learning.
Apollo Education Group is a private education provider. Co. provides undergraduate, graduate, certificate and nondegree educational programs and services, online and on-campus, principally to working adults in the U.S. and abroad through: University of Phoenix, a private university in the U.S. that provides undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as nondegree education programs; Apollo Global, which serves its learners through BPP Holdings Limited, Open Colleges Australia Pty Ltd, among others; as well as Other, which include The College for Financial Planning Institutes Corporation, Western International University, Inc., TIY Academy, LLC, and Apollo Professional Development.
