CIBT Education Group Inc. is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Letter of Intent with Linkman International Language Institute ("Linkman") to acquire shares from treasury representing 95% of all issued and outstanding shares of Linkman at closing. Subject to due diligence, the receipt of all necessary approvals and the satisfaction of other conditions, this acquisition is expected to close within the next eight weeks. Details of the transaction will be announced after closing.
CIBT Education Group is an educational and student-housing investment company. Co.'s business operations include education, media communications, revenue producing properties and real estate development. Co.'s operating entities are as follow: Global Education City Holdings Inc., which provides real estate projects; Sprott Shaw College Corp., which is a private career and technical training college; Sprott Shaw Language College and Vancouver International College; Global Education Alliance Inc. and A Plus Student Services Inc., which provide recruitment of international students and on-ground concierge services; CIBT School of Business & Technology Corp.; and IRIX Design Group Inc.
