Dupont State Bank
River Valley Bancorp on November 9, 2012, completed its acquisition of Dupont State Bank, an Indiana commercial bank wholly owned by Citizens Union Bancorp of Shelbyville, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, River Valley Bancorp acquired all outstanding shares of common stock of Dupont State Bank at an aggregate purchase price of $5.7 million, payable in cash.
River Valley is a bank holding company. Co.'s subsidiary, River Valley Financial Bank (the Bank), focuses its lending activities on the origination of loans secured by first mortgage liens for the purchase, construction, or refinancing of one-to-four family residential real property. Co.'s deposit products include fixed rate certificates of deposit, NOW, MMDAs and other transaction accounts, individual retirement accounts and savings accounts. The Bank solicits for deposits in Jefferson, Clark, Floyd, Jackson, Jennings and Ripley Counties in Indiana and in Trimble and Carroll Counties in Kentucky. At Dec 31 2014, Co. had total assets of $509.5 million and total deposits of $397.1 million.
