AMCON Distributing Company ("AMCON") (NYSE American:DIT), an Omaha, Nebraska-based consumer products company is pleased to announce the closing of its previously announced acquisition of Burklund Distributors, Inc., of East Peoria, Illinois.
AMCON Distributing Co. is a convenience and foodservice distributor of consumer products, including beverages, candy, tobacco, groceries, foodservice, frozen and refrigerated foods, automotive supplies and health and beauty care products. Co.'s Wholesale Distribution segment distributes consumer products and provides a range of programs and services to its customers. The segment serves retail outlets, including convenience stores, grocery stores, liquor stores, drug stores, and tobacco shops. Co.'s Retail Health Food segment, through its Healthy Edge Retail Group subsidiary, is a specialty retailer of natural/organic groceries and dietary supplements.
