PharMerica Corporation (NYSE:PMC), a national provider of institutional, specialty home infusion, and oncology pharmacy services, today announced that on December 31, 2013 it completed the all-cash acquisition of BGS Pharmacy Partners, Inc. Although financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, the Company expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings in 2014.
PharMerica is a pharmacy services company that services healthcare facilities, provides pharmacy management services to hospitals, provides specialty infusion services to patients outside a hospital setting, and provides an oncology pharmacy. As of Dec 31 2016, Co. had 99 institutional pharmacies, 19 specialty infusion pharmacies, and four specialty oncology pharmacies in 45 states, and operated three segments: institutional pharmacy, specialty infusion services and specialty oncology pharmacy. Co.'s main business provides pharmacy services to residents and patients in skilled nursing facilities, nursing centers, assisted living facilities, and other long-term alternative care settings.
