CIBT Education Group Inc. announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire all of the issued and outstanding shares of Linkman International Language Institute ("Linkman"). The agreement provides for the purchase funds to be paid into a wholly owned subsidiary of CIBT in Beijing so that the purchase funds may be used by Linkman for working capital purposes while allowing CIBT to have full control of the funds.
CIBT Education Group is an educational and student-housing investment company. Co.'s business operations include education, media communications, revenue producing properties and real estate development. Co's business activities include the operation of a network of business, technical and language colleges in North America and Asia; the recruitment of international students to North America; as well as the development and management of student-centric accommodations. Co.'s subsidiary, IRIX Design Group Inc. provides a range of production, design and marketing services including corporate identity development, personal profile building, online marketing, and advertising.
