Yogurtini (YHI, Inc), the popular national self-serve frozen yogurt franchise created by two sisters and based in Tempe, Arizona, today announces that it has entered into a definitive acquisition by Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Inc. (NASDAQ Global Market: RMCF) headquartered in Durango, CO, for an undisclosed amount. In addition, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory will be purchasing a controlling equity interest in U-Swirl, Inc., headquartered in Henderson, NV.
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is an international franchisor, confectionery manufacturer and retail operator. Co. manufactures chocolate candies and other confectionery products. Co.'s wholly-owned subsidiary, U-Swirl International, Inc. (U-Swirl), franchises and operates self-serve frozen yogurt cafes. Co. also sells its candy in selected locations outside of its system of retail stores and licenses the use of its brand with certain consumer products. U-Swirl operates self-serve frozen yogurt cafes under the names U-Swirl, Yogurtini, CherryBerry, Yogli Mogli Frozen Yogurt, Fuzzy Peach Frozen Yogurt, Let's Yo! and Aspen Leaf Yogurt.
