USMD Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:,USMD), a physician-led integrated health system, announces that USMD Holdings has acquired the assets of Associates in Urology, a Fort Worth-based urology practice group. As a result, Dr. John Pumphrey and Dr. Michael Walter will join USMD's physician group.
USMD is an early-stage physician-led integrated health system. Through its subsidiaries and affiliates, Co. provides healthcare services to patients in physician clinics, hospitals and other healthcare facilities, including cancer treatment centers and anatomical pathology and clinical laboratories. Through other subsidiaries, Co. provides management and operational services to general acute care hospitals in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX and provides management and operational services to cancer treatment centers in three states. Co. also operates Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility, clinical laboratories, anatomical pathology laboratory and cancer treatment center in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.
