Colfax Corporation ("Colfax") (NYSE:CFX), a leading global manufacturer of gas- and fluid-handling and fabrication technology products today announced that it has made a binding offer to acquire the Global Infrastructure and Industry ("GII") business of Flkt Woods Group, subject to certain conditions. The transaction would value GII at 193 million, including the assumption of debt.
Colfax is a technology company that provides fabrication technology and medical technology products and services to customers around the world mainly under the ESAB and DJO brands. Co. reports its operations through the Fabrication Technology and Medical Technology segments. In its Fabrication Technology segment, Co. formulates, develops, manufactures and supplies consumable products and equipment for use in the cutting, joining and automated welding, as well as gas control equipment. In its Medical Technology segment, Co. develops, manufactures, and distributes medical devices with a range of products used for reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation, pain management and physical therapy.
