Accenture (NYSE:ACN) today announced that it has agreed to acquire the industrial and embedded software development and services business of evopro group, a software development and engineering services company headquartered in Budapest. The acquisition will increase Accenture's ability to help companies get the most return on their investment in industrial software through process improvement and software development, enabling them to take products to market faster and more efficiently.
Accenture is a services company. Co.'s operating groups are: Communications, Media and Technology, which serves communications, media, high tech, software and platform companies; Financial Services, which serves the banking, capital markets and insurance industries; Health and Public Service, which serves healthcare payers and providers, government departments and agencies, public service organizations, educational institutions and non-profit organizations; Products, which serves a set of interconnected consumer-relevant industries such as life sciences; and Resources, which serves the chemicals, energy, forest products, metals and mining, utilities and related industries.
