Details: Splunk Inc. (NASDAQ:SPLK), the leading software platform for real-time operational intelligence, today announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire BugSense Inc., a leading analytics solution for machine data generated by mobile devices. The addition of BugSense will enhance the ability of Splunk customers to analyze machine data directly from mobile devices and correlate it with other machine-generated data to gain operational intelligence.

Splunk provides software solutions that enable users to investigate, monitor, analyze and act on machine data. Co.'s main product is Splunk Enterprise, a machine data platform, comprised of collection, indexing, search, reporting, analysis, alerting, monitoring and data management capabilities. Co.'s Splunk Cloud delivers the capabilities of Splunk Enterprise as a service, while Splunk Light provides log search and analysis for information technology environments. Co. also provides services that include maintenance and customer support, training services to its customers and channel partners, as well as consulting and implementation services to customers through its services team.
