PartnerRe Ltd. announced the successful completion of its previously announced acquisition of California-based Presidio Reinsurance Group, a leading U.S. specialty accident and health reinsurance and insurance writer. All required regulatory approvals have been obtained.
PartnerRe is a holding company. Co. predominantly provides reinsurance on a worldwide basis, and certain specialty insurance lines, through its subsidiaries. Risks reinsured include property, casualty, motor, agriculture, aviation/space, catastrophe, credit/surety, engineering, energy, marine, specialty property, specialty casualty, multiline and other lines, mortality, longevity, accident and health and alternative risk products. Co.'s alternative risk products include weather and credit protection to financial, industrial and service companies on a worldwide basis. Co. has three segments, Non-life, Life and Health, and Corporate and Other.
