Shiloh Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: SHLO) today announced it has acquired Contech Castings, a leading provider of high-pressure aluminum die cast parts for the automotive industry. The purchase adds significant capacity and depth to Shiloh's existing high-pressure, high-vacuum casting capabilities with the addition of P2000 squeeze casting, ThinTech vacuum casting, and high-pressure conventional die casting.
Shiloh Industries is a solutions provider focusing on lightweighting technologies. Co.'s multi-component, multi-material solutions are comprised of a variety of alloys in aluminum, magnesium and steel grades, along with its proprietary line of noise and vibration reducing ShilohCore® acoustic laminate products. Co. delivers these solutions in body structure, chassis and propulsion systems to original equipment manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive and commercial vehicle markets. Co. produces electric vehicles structural products such as charger boxes, control boxes, motor housings, battery covers, battery box trays and battery box rails.
