(OTCBB: WORX) ("WORX") has entered into a definitive agreement to have its subsidiary, MariMed Advisors, Inc., acquire Sigal Consulting LLC, a Massachusetts-based industry leader in the development of medical marijuana licenses and operations. It is anticipated that the closing will occur in three to four weeks. Upon closing, Sigal Consulting will operate through MariMed Advisors, Inc., as a majority-owned subsidiary of WORX. This acquisition will serve to diversify WORX's operational business into the growing licensed medical marijuana industry.
SCWorx is a provider of data content and services related to the repair, normalization and interoperability of information for healthcare providers, as well as big data analytics for the healthcare industry. Co. has developed and markets health care information technology solutions and associated services that improve healthcare processes and information flow within hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Co.'s software enables a healthcare provider to organize its data (data normalization), allows the data to be utilized across various internal software applications (interoperability) and provides the basis for sophisticated data analytics (big data).
