Details: Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) (the "Company" or "Sinclair") announced today that it closed on its previously announced acquisition of 18 television stations owned by Barrington Broadcasting Group, LLC ("Barrington") for $370.0 million and entered into agreements to operate or provide sales services to another six stations. The 24 stations are located in 15 markets and reach 3.4% of the U.S. TV households. The acquisition was funded through cash on hand.

Sinclair Broadcast Group is a television broadcasting company with using Co.'s spectrum to bring together content providers, advertisers, and consumers on various platforms. The content, distributed through Co.'s broadcast platform, consists of programming provided by third-party networks and syndicators, local news, Co.'s own networks, and other original programming produced by Co. Co. also distributes its original programming, and owned and operated network, on other third-party platforms. Co. operates technical services companies focused on supply and maintenance of broadcast transmission systems as well as research and development for the development of broadcast technology.
