Avago Technologies Limited (Nasdaq:AVGO) and LSI Corporation (Nasdaq:LSI), today announced Avago has completed its acquisition of LSI Corporation for $11.15 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $6.6 billion. The acquisition creates a highly diversified semiconductor market leader with approximately $5 billion in projected annual revenues.
Broadcom is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. designs, develops and supplies a range of semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions. Co. maintains design, product and software development engineering resources at locations in the U.S., Asia, Europe and Israel. Co. has two reportable segments: semiconductor solutions and infrastructure software. Co.'s semiconductor solutions segment includes its product lines and intellectual property licensing. Co.'s infrastructure software segment includes its mainframe, distributed and cyber security solutions, and its fiber channel storage area networking business.
