(RRsat America) has acquired the assets and operations of SM2 Sports & Media Solutions, a U.S. based premier provider of occasional-use international sports distribution and syndication services. SM2 works with many of the major international sports agencies and broadcasters around the world, to deliver their content reliably and cost effectively.
RR Media is an end-to-end media service partner for broadcasters and content owners. Co. provides sought after services, including content acquisition and content distribution through satellite, fiber and over the top (OTT); content preparation, which includes ingest, transcoding, encryption and restoration, and content management, which includes media asset management (MAM), playout, archive, library and production services. Co. offers a package of services, which include digital content acquisition and distribution, content preparation, content management, sports, news and live events, digital distribution, OTT delivery and mobile satellite services.
