Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ:VIAB,VIA) and Northern & Shell Media Group today announced a definitive agreement for the acquisition of Channel 5 Broadcasting Limited by Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) for 450 million (approximately $757 million).
Via Renewables is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is an independent retail energy services company. Co.'s business segments are: Retail Electricity, in which Co. purchases electricity supply through physical and financial transactions with market counterparties and independent system operators and supplies electricity to residential and commercial consumers pursuant to fixed-price and variable-price contracts; and Retail Natural Gas, in which Co. purchases natural gas supply through physical and financial transactions with market counterparties and supplies natural gas to residential and commercial consumers pursuant to fixed-price and variable-price contracts.
