Celadon Trucking Services, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Celadon Group, Inc. (NYSE:CGI), announced today that it has agreed to acquire Hyndman Transport Limited, based in Wroxeter, Ontario. Hyndman operates approximately 175 tractors and generated approximately $48 million in revenue in 2012, comprised of both domestic Canadian shipments and international shipments between Canada and the United States. Additional terms and conditions of the transaction were not disclosed.
Celadon Group provides truckload freight transportation. Co. has three segments: asset-based, asset-light, and equipment leasing and services. Co.'s primary asset based services include U.S. domestic dry van, refrigerated, and flatbed service; cross-border service between the U.S. and each of Mexico and Canada; intra-Mexico and intra-Canada service; dedicated contract service; regional short haul service; and rail intermodal service. In addition, Co.'s primary asset light services include freight brokerage, warehousing, less-than truckload consolidation, and supply chain logistics services, while its primary equipment leasing and services include tractor and trailer sales and leasing.
