Details: New York American Water today announced that it has signed agreements to purchase the Mt. Ebo Water Works, Inc. and Mt. Ebo Sewage Works, Inc. in the Town of Southeast, NY. The water system agreement now moves to the New York Public Service Commission for approval. New York American Water will provide the systems' more than 400 customer accounts with both water and wastewater services. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.

American Water Works is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is a publicly-traded water and wastewater utility company. Co. provides drinking water, wastewater and other related services to people in various states. Co.'s Regulated Businesses provide water and wastewater services to residential, commercial, industrial, public authority, fire service and sale for resale customers. Co.'s Market-Based Businesses provide home services primarily to residential and smaller commercial customers and water and wastewater services to the United States government on military installations, as well as municipalities, utilities and industrial customers.
