Amcor (NYSE: AMCR) (ASX:AMC), a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging solutions, today announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire Shanghai-based MDK. MDK generates annual sales of approximately $50 million and is a leading provider of medical device packaging, a key priority growth segment for Amcor.
Amcor is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. develops and produces a range of packaging products including flexible packaging, rigid packaging containers, specialty cartons, and closures. Co.'s business activities are organized around two reportable segments, Flexibles and Rigid Packaging. The Flexibles Segment develops and supplies flexible packaging globally. The Flexibles Segment supplies plastic, aluminum and fiber based flexible packaging. The Rigid Packaging Segment manufactures rigid packaging containers and related products.
