KapStone Paper and Packaging Corporation (NYSE: KS) today announced that it has completed the stock purchase of Longview Fibre Paper and Packaging, Inc. ("Longview"). Longview, headquartered in Longview, WA, is a leading manufacturer of high quality containerboard, lightweight high performance multiwall paper, specialty Kraft papers, and corrugated products. Longview employs about 1,800 people.
KapStone Paper and Packaging produces and sells a variety of containerboard, corrugated products and specialty paper products. Co. operates in two segments: paper and packaging, which manufactures and sells containerboard, corrugated products and specialty paper for industrial and consumer markets; and distribution, which operates under the Victory trade name, provides its customers packaging solutions and services and distributes corrugated packaging materials and other specialty packaging products, which include stretch film, void fill, carton sealing tape and other specialty tapes.
