TransForce Inc. (TSX: TFI) (OTCQX: TFIFF), a North American leader in the transportation and logistics industry, is pleased to announce that all conditions required to proceed with the acquisition of all the shares of Clarke Transport Inc. and of Clarke Road Transport Inc., two subsidiaries of Clarke Inc. (TSX: CKI), have been satisfied. The closing of the transaction will be effective on January 1, 2014.
TransForce is involved in the provision of transportation and logistics services across Canada and the U.S. Co.'s business segments include: Package and Courier, which is involved in the pickup, transport and delivery of items across North America; Less-Than-Truckload, which is involved in the pickup, consolidation, transport and delivery of smaller loads; Truckload, which is involved in full loads carried directly from the customer to the destination, including expedited transportation, flatbed, container and dedicated services; and Logistics, which is involved in the provision of a range of logistics services. As of Dec 31 2015, Co. had 5,938 power units and 17,706 trailers.
