Cineplex Entertainment (TSX:CGX) today announced it recently completed the acquisition of a 50 per cent stake in YoYo's Yogurt Cafe (YYC Franchise Corporation and YYC Wholesale Corporation), a London, Ontario-based self-serve frozen yogurt chain with stores throughout the province.
Cineplex is a Canadian brand that operates in the film entertainment and content, amusement and leisure, and media sectors. Through its subsidiaries, Co. also operates businesses in digital commerce (Cineplex Store), food service, alternative programming (Cineplex Events), cinema media (Cineplex Media), digital place-based media (Cineplex Digital Media "CDM") and amusement solutions (Player One Amusement Group "P1AG"). Additionally, Co. operates a location-based entertainment business through Canada's destination for Eats & Entertainment (The Rec Room), and also complexes designed for teens and families (Playdium).
